Studio A is the Sound Master recording engineer school's main studio, containing state-of-the art equipment recording equipment. The studio was specifically built by Sound Master to meet the demanding requirements of a professional recording environment. Students receive hands-on instruction in this studio - either practicing with recorded content or actually working with live bands.

Studio A is equiped with a complete ProTools HD 7.0 system running on a new Power Mac G5, which includes a DigiDesign Synch I/O unit and three DigiDesign 96 I/O units.

The main console is a 96 channel Otari Concept Elitel with digitally controlled moving analog faders.
